Bishop Parker School enjoys local employers

On Thursday 8th December, Bishop Parker School hosted three business guests.
51 Year 5 and 6 pupils participated in the event, which involved the pupils guessing their jobs and asking their own questions about what work is like. The aim was to benefit students by improving their career awareness and communication skills. The business guests benefited by finding out what today's young people think about work.
"The whole thing was brilliant, how can I do it again?" said Sunita Yeomans from Argos.
Teacher Sandra Hawes said: "The children enjoyed the experience and it helped the EAL children to develop communication skills."
One student said: “I enjoyed learning about how people like us can get exciting jobs”.
