Brooksward Welcomes Business Guests

On Tuesday 15th November, Brooksward Primary School hosted three business guests.
70 Year 5-6 pupils participated in the event, which involved the pupils guessing their jobs and asking their own questions about what work is like. The aim was to benefit students by improving their career awareness and communication skills. The business guests benefited by finding out what today's young people think about work.
"The children were very polite, behaved well and had good listening skills," said Michelle Jones (pictured) from Argos, part of the Home Retail Group.
Teacher Francesce Thompson said: "The children had a great time. It really gave them all something to think about and supports well the work we do in school. Ruth Hemingway, Deputy Headteacher, said: "The event was very well organised - just the right amount of time for our pupils."
One student said: “I enjoyed meeting new people and liked listening to their jobs and experience”.
