Ethos

iPEC is the hub of a learning community that provides inclusive, inspiring and engaging learning experiences to prepare students for adult life, work and citizenship. iPEC will provide personalised learning through a broad curriculum, a variety of learning methods and a focus on working relationship.
In a real work environment iPEC students will learn that life and work requires functional skills, employability skills and emotional literacy.
We believe that an adult majority is crucial to model acceptable and professional behaviour and to modify negative peer influences, and that a successful relationship with our students starts with a contract – principally a Personal Learning Plan agreed with a Personal Tutor.
We want to offer all our students the chance to gain a better version of themselves, with opportunities for jobs, relationships and adult respect they may not have thought open to them. We want them realise they can achieve more than they previously believed possible.
