To develop employability skills and get a good understanding of what it's really like in different jobs, young people need to meet adults and talk to them about their work.

In a WorkOut! session, you join employees from other organisations, to answer questions about your experience of work, speed-dating style. WorkOut! is easy, fast and fun.

Choose from:

Primary WorkOut! - in primary schools
Career WorkOut! - in secondary schools
City Centre WorkOut! - guests meet young people, from either primary or secondary schools, in a training room beneath our offices in MK city centre
iPEC WorkOut! – guests answer questions from students in our own Personalised Education Centre for disengaged 14-16 year olds.

All WorkOut! sessions give Guests a chance to:

articulate what they do for work and why
find out more about young people's interests and aspirations
network with Guests from other local businesses.

Advice to WorkOut Guests:

relax and be yourself, there are no right and wrong answers
be authentic, talk about what you have actually experienced
if being interviewed by more than one young person, encourage all to have a go at asking questions.
