Mission

We are the Education Business Partnership (EBP) for Milton Keynes, part of a national network of EBPs helping to prepare young people for working life.  We are an independent charity on a mission to link schools and employers to provide quality work-related learning experiences for all young people.

We work closely with 1000 employers and provide work experience placements for 3000 young people from MK schools each year. We have a strong network of contacts in education and business, and a 15-year track record of quality delivery. Jointly created in 1992 by Buckinghamshire County Council and the Training & Enterprise Council (TEC) for Milton Keynes & North Buckinghamshire, we are a registered company limited by guarantee, ‘Countec Ltd’ (from Coun-TEC).

Put simply, our purpose is to engage employers in education so young people succeed in work.
