Teen Temps

Teen Temps are young people aged 13-16 who wish to be employed part-time for pay.
Legally, these young people can be employed for up to 12 hours per week outside school hours (35 hours per week in holidays) as long as it’s no more than two hours on a school day (max 2 hours on a Sunday). At this age, the national minimum wage doesn’t apply.
A young person of compulsory school age can be employed only if s/he has been issued with a permit by the Education Welfare Service. We will organise this.
Teen Temps is a new service which we are developing. We want to make links between young people who have demonstrated excellent employability on Work Experience (based on the Employer Report form completed at the end of the placement) and employers who wish to hire young workers part-time.
If you are interested in such an opportunity, please contact theresa.mercer@countec.org .
