COUNTEC BOARD OF DIRECTORS/TRUSTEES

Our trustees work for MK Council, Chamber of Commerce, Economy & Learning Partnership, College and schools, and come from a broad range of backgrounds in business and education.  The Board ensures that Countec EBP achieves its mission by supporting and advising through six ordinary meetings each year.  Its current members are:

Councillor Sandra Clark

Joe Clinch OBE
Semi retired.  Currently Higher Education Adviser, Milton Keynes Economy and Learning Partnership.  Previously Secretary of the Open University.  Independent member of the Countec Board and chair of its Citischool Committee  2005 to 2009.  "Drawing on its previous involvement with Citischool  and its successful education business partnership experience, Countec EBP continues to play a major role in alternative education for disengaged young people in Milton Keynes. Under contract from the Milton Keynes Behaviour Partnership, Countec is providing an independent Personal Education Centre for the secondary schools in the north of the city.  Countec’s contribution to alternative education is very much in line with the Government’s Back on Track policy (May 2008).  I am very pleased to be involved with this important and challenging initiative.”

Colin Fox
Executive Director, Milton Keynes Economy & Learning Partnership
Colin was appointed to his present post as Executive Director of Milton Keynes Economy & Learning Partnership in January 2004. His first key task was to manage the merger of the existing Economic Partnership and the Lifelong Learning Partnership at both board level and operationally. He developed the new partnership’s first business plan and a 30 year Economic Vision for Milton Keynes – a response to the Government’s housing growth proposals. Prior to his current post, Colin spent 10 years with Milton Keynes & North Bucks Chamber of Commerce, ultimately as Executive Director responsible for membership policy and partnership working. He also worked with Chesterton Consulting – a specialist economic development consultancy. Colin began his career with Milton Keynes Development Corporation. He is currently chair of the Milton Keynes Transport Partnership, member of the Local Strategic Partnership executive and member of the Central Milton Keynes board.
