Values
Learning values
We believe 'it takes a village to raise a child' - young people learn a great deal about themselves, working life and responsible citizenship, simply by talking with and working alongside adults.
We believe all young people have value and deserve our best efforts to include them in working life and society.
We believe the principles of 'adult majority' and 'real work' are important for helping young people learn the skills and habits they need to succeed in adult and working life.
We believe in action learning: doing and reflecting on feedback.
Work values
Our work behaviour is guided by set of values agreed by staff and iPEC students in September 2010:
- Respect - act professionally, greet people by name, look after the environment.
- Equality - see value in everyone, listen carefully, treat others as we like to be treated.
- Participation - attempt agreed tasks, listen, ask for help when needed.
- Safety - act without violence, keep the work place safe and tidy.
- Consistency - focus on targets, stay positive.
- Honesty - tell the truth, admit mistakes and apologise when wrong.
Business values
In business we value integrity, innovation and inclusion of staff from diverse backgrounds.
